A meeting of members of the Network was held during the Monaco Yacht show in September. Representatives from 6 member firms were in attendance. It was reported that although the network is still in its early stages of development it has been well received by yards, insurers and yacht brokers, a number of whom have indicated that they would be happy to be associated with the Network and be seen to support it.

The intention is to expand the network with lawyers from the Isle of Man, Jersey/Guernsey, Gibraltar, Malta, Caymans, BVI, Bahrain, Singapore, Germany, Qatar, Dubai and Hong Kong to be invited to join.

Future meetings of the Network will be arranged to coincide with events such as the Monaco Yacht show so as to maximise the opportunities for members to get together.

Members are invited to submit articles and bulletins with updates on relevant developments in their jurisdiction for publication on the website.

Details of surveyors with the relevant expertise in the various jurisdictions have already been included on the website. Consideration is being given to adding details of corporate service providers specialising in yacht ownership structures, tax advisers and insurance brokers.
